Cookie Policy

Effective: 9 May 2026

This explains how Brainstein uses cookies on drinkbrainstein.com. We keep it short. We keep it minimal.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember preferences, and sometimes track behavior across sites.

2. The cookies we use

Right now we only use what we need to keep the site working and safe. No advertising cookies. No tracking cookies. No third party trackers planted in your browser.

Strictly necessary cookies. Set by Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider. They protect the site from bots, attacks, and abuse. Examples: __cf_bm (bot management) and cf_clearance (security challenges). These typically expire within 30 minutes to 30 days. The site doesn't work properly without them.

3. Cookies we may add later

If we add analytics, we'll use a privacy first tool that doesn't profile you or follow you across the web. We'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first with a banner before any new cookies are set.

If we add a shopping cart and payment processing once products go live, we'll set short lived cookies to remember your cart and complete the order. You'll be told before any of this happens.

4. How to control cookies

You can clear, block, or limit cookies in your browser settings. Here are the controls for the major browsers:

  • Chrome. Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
  • Safari. Settings, Privacy.
  • Firefox. Settings, Privacy and Security.
  • Edge. Settings, Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site. That's a trade off you can make if you want.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no consistent industry standard for what to do with it. We don't currently respond to it because we don't run any cross site tracking in the first place.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our cookie use changes. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. If we add anything that requires consent, we'll show you a banner before the new cookies are set.
